This is not an emergency fundraiser, but a fundraiser to support According to Hoyt.
I spend a few hours a day in writing the blog and keeping the community fun and interesting, and this is an attempt at compensating for that time which otherwise could be better employed writing fiction which pays.
If the blog funds, I promise to try to be more assiduous with the posting, and NOT to have the articles proofread, since the typos amuse the readers so much. It will also help as some compensation for my family who share me with the blog and the blog community.
If you cannot donate, praying for me and my work is very appreciated. You know what I do.

It's that time of year again, and I saw no point at all launching a new campaign. Last year's didn't quite come to the desired amount but from all founding sources it came close, which given the times is the best one can hope for.
Again, if you're in distress do not donate. I don't want you to hurt yourself. But I work at this blog year in, year out, and at least my poor husband's forbearance with this very demanding "child" must be rewarded somehow by taking some of the burden of providing for us off his shoulders.
I am grateful to everyone who donated. You have my unending gratitude. I am likewise grateful to everyone who prays. Heaven knows I need it.

The data isn't as dismal as it looks here. My goal is to raise this before July fourth next year, here and at my serializing fiction blog at Chapter House on substack. Between the three and cash donations, I'm confident of getting there by next year. (Confident-ish. Times are difficult for everyone, just now.)
Thank you to everyone who donated so far. For now, I'm just feeling grateful. Times are tough, but my readers support me.

Not as far behind as it looks, when you consider the other sources. Almost 1/6th of the way there, but not quite.
"This close".
Which is not bad, as there are still 11 days to go.
And funding will save me from having to do other fundraising through the year.
HOWEVER the most important thing in this all is THANK YOU.
So often the work of a blogger feels like flinging words into nothingness. It's very reassuring to know people are listening and value what I do.
